1. Who we are

PriceMyWork is a free pricing toolkit built for independent creative professionals — by independent creative professionals. These are the tools we wished existed at many points in our own creative journeys. We took our pain points and built the solution we never had, with the goal of paying it forward for creatives to come.

2. What data we collect

We collect only the data needed to operate the service:

• Account data: Your email address when you sign up. We use magic link authentication, so we never store a password.
• Pricing data you enter: Service names, prices, hours, and costs you input into our calculators. Stored locally in your browser and, for paid accounts, optionally synced to our servers.
• Usage data: Anonymous analytics including which tools you use, page visits, and session duration. We do not track individual users across sites.
• Payment data: Processed entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your credit card number.

3. How we use your data

• To provide and improve the PriceMyWork service
• To send you transactional emails (login links, receipts, account notices)
• To aggregate anonymized pricing data to improve market rate benchmarks
• To prevent fraud and abuse

We do not use your specific pricing data to train AI or machine learning models. Aggregated, anonymized data may inform our market rate database.

4. Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. We share data only with:

• Stripe — for payment processing
• Cloudflare — for hosting and edge security
• Google Gemini / Anthropic Claude — your pricing data is sent to an AI model when you use the Audit or Market Analysis tools. Data is not retained by these providers beyond the individual API call per their enterprise data policies.

5. Cookies and local storage

PriceMyWork uses browser localStorage to save your calculator inputs and session state. We use minimal cookies for authentication sessions. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party ad pixels.

6. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete, and export your data. You can exercise all of these rights directly from your account at any time — no need to contact us.

7. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where required by law.

8. Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Passwords are never stored — we use magic link authentication only. Our infrastructure runs on Cloudflare, providing enterprise-grade DDoS protection and encryption at rest.

9. Children's privacy

PriceMyWork is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. This page is always the authoritative version — please check back here for any changes.
